Kristiane Mirva is a professionally trained abstract artist based in Kelowna BC. Kristiane graduated with a Fine Arts Diploma from the University of British Columbia, Okanagan in 2003. During her university years, she worked as an assistant curator for the Alternator Gallery. And, in 1999, she was awarded the Kelowna and District Arts Council Award for Excellence in the Arts.
In addition to art, she pursued a writing career and worked in editorial with Disney Interactive. Now, years later, she works as a full time artist.
Kristiane has participated in a variety of exhibitions and many of her pieces have been sold to private collectors throughout Canada and abroad. Her work is also available for purchase at Karmyc Bazaar in Kelowna and Little Straw Winery in West Kelowna. Much of her work is inspired by the places she’s been, her curiosity for the unknown and her love of travel Kristiane works in mixed media as well as resin and is most well-known for her galactic paintings and waterscapes.
